We'll have played 17 league fixtures at that point, and by then you will start to have a much better idea in regards to who is challenging and who will struggle badly. I sincerly hope that Kevin will have been able to get the team gelling and performing a lot better by then but if it's looking increasingly dodgy after the Bradford fixture I would push the button and get someone like Artell in.
Liverpool looked very dodgy in their first few fixtures in the Premier League this season, and yet today they equalled the record for biggest win. I'm not saying the first game we win will be a 9-0 score, but one great result could really kickstart the season for us
A poll in August. World truly gone mad. When I started watching football, the grizzled old timers told me that you didn't even look at the league table until 10 games in as judging anything before that was a mug's game. Were they wrong? Everything today is impulse culture, now now now and instant gratification.
It's even a loaded question hilariously, yes I will support Betsy until it's too late, wonderful comedic work

Totally agree Steve.. absolutely ridiculous poll. Good things come to those that wait. Honestly this is absurd ☹️
The team have played 8 competitive games if you include the cup games plus all preseason and bonding trips to Spain and Scotland. If he hasn't got them to jell by now i don't know when or if he will because he comes over as a nice person but he does not inspire me as a leader. Its very different to coaching youngsters to coaching men and he is in a results driven occupation and i don't think he is up to it at present.
I never call for managers to be sacked but the hirers and fires at a club will have targets the team need to reach with the amount of funds invested. Bottom budget in the division and bottom five. C'est la vie. Top budget, bottom five. C'est la guerre!
I'm not sure how much larger our budget is from last season but I imagine it is bigger. The position the club find themselves this season is an order of magnitude worse than at this time last season. Every manager will be/is judged by their employers but the owners have to trust their own judgement from when they appointed their man but not leave it so long that they are effectively throwing good money after bad.
That's a long winded way of saying 'give the man at least until October'.

My head says give him until the end of October but my heart says we need a change ASAP
We won't be allowed to play the style of football Betsy wants to in L2 by others teams, and we certainly aren't good enough at it to set the pattern of our play in spite of this.
We have been sussed out, are coming up short and have no fall-back position. We tried to be a bit more direct yesterday but were mediocre at best. The second half was like a blitzkrieg from Rochdale and we could merely and meekly cling on for a point.
I really don't think Betsy has the experience up his sleeve to turn our fortunes round if games aren't played to suit his academy-based approach BY BOTH TEAMS. He and we are starting to flounder like fish out of water and I think you can hear it in his voice that reality is biting.
It goes without saying that as long as he is CTFC manager that I wish him nothing but success in his role.
His credentials in his youth/development roles are clearly exemplary. But being a great car driver doesn't mean you're bound to be good at riding a bike

Even though I did vote myself on it (mainly to state why I think we need to give the guy at least a bit more time) I can't help but feel it's a really biased question that's trying to turn more people against him, which I feel is pretty destructive if you know what I mean (having loads of options saying yes whilst only one no option when just a simple yes/no would be enough). Decent managers would also not be sure about wanting to come here if the owners fire Betsy this early too because they would be concerned that WAGMI are trigger-happy owners who'd sack them the first time they get a few bad results, which I think would then just leave us with rubbish like Tisdale or Westley to pick from.
Oh and yes I definitely agree regarding the league table, there's still another 40 games to go and you saw last season with Nottingham Forest, Bristol Rovers and Mansfield that teams in worse positions even at much later stages can still turn their season around (and Rovers and Mansfield did so without even changing their manager).

im just reading through all this. Not sure how you can say "No" in the vote more than once or have I missed something here? 31 votes and only two votes cast "No", it may be a small sample but remember the vote about WAGMI asking STH should we get a defender, midfielder etc. was a bit like an exit poll. Looking on the clubs Twitter account I see lots of "go now" comments, of course these were not there post Fulham, but I suspect the mood here is reasonably representative. Yes as fans and I include myself, we can be fickle at times, but I read this poll as "before its too late", in otherwords a new manager whoever that is cannot rescue a team in relegation trouble and mount a promotion campaign.

My initial point was that it didn't seem right that there were 7 'Yes' options so it was more the way in which some of the possible answers were worded which I didn't agree with. And to be fair, I'd say judging by the comments etc there's more people that are saying give him a bit more time than get rid of him tomorrow, which I'd say looks different compared to what you saw on Twitter immediately after the game yesterday.
I've seen some comparisons on here to Kewell but (even though I can't stand the bloke) he did probably overachieve a bit in his season considering the squad we had at that time. Also, I'm pretty sure when the owners bought the club they were targeting next season as being one they are aiming to win promotion in, so on the flip side you could argue that this is more of a transistional campaign for the team. I heard a podcast where Preston said that our average age last season was one of the oldest in the league which to me probably explains why a lot of new players have been signed, as some of the players who did well for us last season (Morris, Lynch and Craig for example) are coming to the end of their careers sadly
The thing is they can be countered if you wanted too.
Average age was bumped up by Bulman, Craig, Morris and Lynch. If those four were playing regularly now, would we where we are?
When wagmi said promotion next season how many of us thought it would be from the National League?
I didn't get the high of the Fulham game but I have a feeling that our American owners may care more for the big scalp than they do for the bread and butter games. I wonder if anyone has told them that relegation means an immediate loss of £1/2 million and lots of players jumping ship?
Is it possible our new American owners made an error choosing Betsy as manager,in the States sport team managers are called coach, Betsys CV is a FA coach at several levels,in this country a coach and a manager are usually different roles.
