Now the season has finished I suspect the board & Mr Yems will start discussions on which players they wish to offer new contracts. I believe that it is normal for players contracts to expire on or around 1st June. I would bet some players have already been told that they will not be required next season. Expect to see club statements thanking those that are to go and wishing them the best etc etc.

WE all know whats needed. Keep Tunnicliffe, Nicholls, Davies, Tsaroulla + some good new signings and we might do well. Lose 2 of them 4 and bad signings closed season and WE WILL GO DOWN! Not rocket science!

Talking about going up or down next season at this stage is ridiculous; we do not know the squad yet. Sure some will certainly be retained if not because of contractual agreements but I would hope there is one thing we can all agree on, our recruitment overall has been good and with that there is always hope.

George - Our recruitment has not always been good. True - the recruitment at the start of the 2020/21 season was exceptionally good but the recruitment in Decemeber & January was very poor - J Wright, M Wright, Tilly, Maguire-Drew & Rodari. Dont kid yourself George!

The wrights are bad but the rest of that list has contributed goals and won games
I doubt we’re keeping Tunnicliffe so we need to go defender shopping badly. Powell’s contract is up and whilst I suspect he will renew it you never know. We also need some pacy and attacking central mids (like Hesketh) Powell Wright and Hessenthaler are all way too defensive. I also have doubts about Nadesan and Nichols staying so I suspect we need to get a big target man in the window as well, I wanted us to go for Quigley but he’s been very good and shot his price up. Keep the core eleven if we can and we can push higher next season.

I'm probably wasting my time posting this but mid-season talent hunting is generally much harder unless you have decent money to offer, because players are much more likely to still be in contract.
A player we should look at as a back up for Glenn Morris is Chris Haigh of Concord Rangers. Recently played at Wembley in Trophy final against Harrogate and was Concords star player.
Regarding David Sesay. I think that he is a better attacking than defending. He has shown great potential in the past and can be an exciting player to watch. I would like to see him get another year at Crawley.

Sesay is a decent player. I'd like to see him get a new deal and compete with Davies for the RB spot. Francomb should move back into midfield, as we are lightweight there and may well be losing Powell. We also need a midfield battler, an aggressive CM in the Hesketh role (or going back a bit Keith Keane). Hessenthaler is ok, Josh Wright not so much.
We will have Doherty back from his loan at Colchester, and hopefully Grego-Cox will be fit or the start of the season. We have really missed him. It goes without saying we really need to keep hold of Nichols and Tunnicliffe, but if we get a decent offer for them i guess they will be off. Signing a goalscorer is a priority - we didn't replace Max and Nadesan doesn't look up to the job. As frustrating as Jamie Proctor was.
