Looks like the Yank has given another “Stay of Execution”.
BETSY OUT.
JTG
We all know you want Betsy sacked because you want Lewis Young to take charge again. Come on, just admit it....
I honestly think this is what the owners should do stick Lewis Young in charge and do not rush an appointment to replace Betsy. You never know Young may prove he has it in him longer term. I feel this season has been an absolute disaster and we need to focus on staying in the football league. Its a really sad state of affairs that I am even thinking this way and its not even Christmas, but I cannot recall such a poor period of football of under-performance and frustration knowing the potential is there. Maybe Betsy will lose the dressing room and the players will take charge (should never happen and of course very disrespectful to Kevin) but something has to give we are in danger of dropping out of league 2 and the sooner the owners face this reality the better! PRESTON - WE NEED LEADERSHIP PLEASE.

When Young stepped in for John Yems, how many points did he get?
Thanks for posting this GBred. if its true its the best best news I've had for a while except that Yems may be cleared.
Not many boards have patience and take a long-term view, I really hope Wagmi do, and Kevin sees the season out and then next year we are where everybody would like us to be which is top 6 and maybe more.
Too many on this frum allow themselves to get whipped up by a few poor results and take a short term view which will get us no where - onwards and upwards with BETSYS red army.

You’re not being serious right? This is tongue in cheek surely?

Our common goal is for the club to succeed. We obviously differ in our views greatly on this topic but bottom line we all want what is best for the club. I think it's still very early days for the new regime and the manager and want to give them the time they need - I can't disagree we are underperforming but I believe it will all come good in time and that will be over the course of this season without us finishing in a relegation scrap.

Stick to your guns Weststander. If the sack em all crowd actually had any confidence in their views they would answer your points one by one, rather than just make insubstantial wisecracks

😂 Insubstantial!! Every week we give the facts as to why he’s not up to the job. Literally 100s of posts stating facts. Did you not see we average 2 shots on target per game? Have you not looked at the league table? These are facts, yet you two only have the same argument each week. Steve says it’s all down to luck and westy has everything crossed and is hoping! Insubstantial😂😂😂 Come on give us the evidence as to why Betsy with one of the biggest budgets in the league is doing a good job? Give us something substantial Steve, use some stats and not just your usual ramblings that you like his interviews. I’m holding my breath.

What have you been reading? Who says second bottom of the league is doing a good job? You love debating a straw man because you don't have the intellectual honesty to get to grips with the real debate about sacking a manager after 11 games.
It remains very unusual to sack a manager so soon after being appointed, only Hartley comes into that category this season and we don't know if there was a behind the scenes fallout to explain that one. All signs show that the links between Besty and Wagmi remain solid. It's not uncommon for managers to have bad runs and if you sack a manager every 11 games you end up with scenario of having 3 or 4 a season and everyone laughing at a tinpot club. No one has explained how paying Betsy off will impact on our budget for new signings we need, like a central midfielder. No one has explained how we will attract another talented manager if he knows at the start he's only going to get 11 games, who will give up a good job for that?
Guys like Joey Barton last season had a tiny number of wins in his first 20 games yet got Bristol Rovers promoted, someone like you would have sacked him. When I asked Bristol Rovers fans a few weeks ago about that, they replied we as fans are loyal fans and not kneejerkers, says it all?
Last season, there was a 13-game spell between October and December when John Yems picked up 5 league points and lost 3 cup games (scoring 0 goals and conceding 9). Poor runs happen to even good managers like him - only people with goldfish memories think the sack is the immediate answer.
No one is saying bottom 2 can go on forever, there has to be improvement sooner or later. But he will get more time. There were people calling him to be sacked after the first home game, and some people have been locked into that unrealistic overreaction ever since, getting increasingly shriller justifying such short-termism --- rather than getting to grips with any of the real issues as listed above
Regardless of the content, that is an appallingly written article.
They are not worth taking seriously, they've produced two articles saying opposite things within a week and not naming a single source to be accountable on either occasion
