So the question for Mansfield on Saturday is whether Davis comes in for either Fellows (very unlikely) or Tilley, or whether Oteh comes in for Nadderz. I suspect Lewis will stick with last Saturday’s winning team but Oteh might be the closer call
great game to see tonight and nice to see Dom Telford gey on scoresheet. Wembley here we come?
Be nice if the Dons did us a favour in a couple of weeks but all is not well at Plough Lane at the moment, some unsavoury stuff reported going on at that club last Saturday
Well, that was a very entertaining match - and a great result. We worked hard, pressed really well and forced them into several errors, at least 2 resulting in goals. Obviously, we were playing an under 21 team, but that’s not to diminish the effort and result.
Jayden Davis looked excellent and as Steve said, we don’t lack creative midfielders. Great to see Oteh score twice and Marshall caused them problems when he came on, taking his goal really well.
Dom Telford worked very hard, some of his touches were superb, setting up a couple of the goals.
All in all, an enjoyable evening.
(Edit: I wrote that before I saw LY’s post match interview)

'East Sussex R' is right in saying that it was a very enjoyable evening, was nice to see us score plenty for a change. Don't know about you all but I feel there's a really positive vibe around the club again, which I credit Lewis Young for mainly (as he seems to have put a lot of belief back into these players)
It was fun to watch us bang in 5 and it gives the impression that AV's under 21s were a pushover, but they never appeared that way to me. I particularly liked the way Telford set up one of the goals - that looked skilful. That final penalty though - if you were at the right angle it was clearly bought. Yes, there was contact but it was our player who initiated it. The last time I saw that was when McLeod played for us. It can be difficult to pick out unless the players are running directly toward or away from you and you can see the gap between them.
A shout out to the catering as well. They do a decent Bombay Potato pie which, although a little pricier than the outside world, doesn't require a bank loan.
Fantastic win and the first time we have scored five in a competitive game since November 2020 (nearly two years ago) in the famous 6-5 cup win over Torquay. For context, the last time we scored five in the league, as far as I can determine, was in 2015 (seven years ago) against Barnsley.
It sounds as though we beat a Betsy-esque team last night.
