Good luck to Hess but personally I'm not that sorry to see him go. His form absolutely fell off a cliff this season. More concerned that we've signed a player from Woking who appears to have almost exclusively been a bench option for them this season.
We started the day needing a goalkeeper, right back, defensive midfielder and a target man, and so far have signed an attacking midfielder and been linked with a left back. Super.
Weren't the RealEfl the ones who said we were selling every player? They were 5% right I guess
They did you’re right but they spun it a bit. Galley and whoever accidentally listed the squad on a web platform as for sale, so there was SOME truth. They’ve been pretty good with other stuff so far.
They were playing round with new software and RealEFL knew a club selling their entire playing stuff was rubbish but they ran the story anyway, knowing they would get a lot of clicks from disgruntled fans willing to believe anything. A simple 2-minute phone call to the club would have killed the story but that wasn't the point of the exercise. Media outlets balance credibility with clickbait and I know which camp I put these lads in now I'm afraid

Hess was a good servant but honestly even last season he only really stood out in that emergency stint at centre-back, where the bar of expectation was low for him. Good club servants have their day and it comes to an end and that's the case for him and Tony - good luck to both of them.
Defensive midfielder - we have Jenks, Gladwin, Powell and Wells, that's good enough in a squad that needs trimming

Agreed on Hess, and TC. Francomb is the only one of the three I'd be sorry to see go, but even he is barely available even half the time.
I wouldn't class any of those players as defensive midfielders, just midfielders. We've been missing a genuine ball-winner for at least two years now, hence why the defence always looks so exposed as teams burst through the middle of us (albeit it did look better on Saturday).

I guess one of them can go in goal if Corey gets injured 🙂

He is a talented player and another of the Spurs youth system - maybe like Nick Tsaroulla has lost his way a bit after signing for Palace and not playing - hopefully he will be another player like Nick - then we won’t care how many times he played for Woking

Yes hopefully but I would be more impressed with proven quality experienced at this level - we cannot gamble any more.

Credit where Credit is Due! Someone at the club finally realized we have the worst MIDFIELD in the Football League and someone has tried to do something about it by bringing in the 2 Midfielders in Jan Window. Whether that be Preston, Eben, Scott, Galley or the New Recruitment Analyst! My Money is on the Latter!
