Schofield as keeper, even on loan looks a good possible signing. I reckon Scott is playing a good part in selecting players. Any one know who this recruitment analyst actually is?
This is our last chance saloon to avoid relegation and the club have come up with fvck all. Roles or Royals good luck to him but we need proven experience. Not good enough recruitment joker!

Hess was a good servant but honestly even last season he only really stood out in that emergency stint at centre-back, where the bar of expectation was low for him. Good club servants have their day and it comes to an end and that's the case for him and Tony - good luck to both of them.
Defensive midfielder - we have Jenks, Gladwin, Powell and Wells, that's good enough in a squad that needs trimming
Agreed on Hess, and TC. Francomb is the only one of the three I'd be sorry to see go, but even he is barely available even half the time.
I wouldn't class any of those players as defensive midfielders, just midfielders. We've been missing a genuine ball-winner for at least two years now, hence why the defence always looks so exposed as teams burst through the middle of us (albeit it did look better on Saturday).
Jenks is a genuine copper bottomed defensive midfielder and did a brilliant job in that spot the other day. Always was for Brighton U23s too. Not seen enough of Gladwin yet but he looks more suited to that position too with his height and physique. Powell is an all-rounder yes I agree.
And I certainly agree on Francomb, one I regret going. But out a lot injured this season so we have younger legs and energy now and I think that’s probably the way forward.
Who will be the next Rafiq Khaleel to bolt forward? We won’t know unless spots are open for them

The comings and goings over recent days seem horrifying and encouraging in roughly equal measure. They might work or they might not. I appreciate that not all the goings were the management's choice - particularly loans being recalled - but some were.
It's a gamble which might have been acceptable if we weren't so close to the drop zone. My preference would be to gamble when less likely to lose.
We lost a lot experience this transfer window and mainly replaced it with youth, some with experience, hopefully will work. I would have preferred another striker, but hopefully one of our many attacking midfielders will contribute goals, or we can sign a striker out of contract for a few months.
The midfield looks overloaded again. The club website lists 14 (up to date for a change) and Ben Wells and Brandon Mason are listed as defenders, when the club stated they bought Brandon when the fans said we wanted a midfielder. I think a lot of the younger players won't get a game and will be sent out on loan, but hopefully Khaleel will get some games after his performance in Saturday.
The site also lists 13 defenders but only 5 strikers (plus two out on loan). Appiah does not appear to be playing much at Colchester (injured?) but don't know if we can recall in his loan if he is fit. Watched Rodari in a few games at Dorking last year and he did not look National League South standard.
I'm hoping Telford and Nadesan can form a good partnership. Oteh would make a good target man/hold up player for Telford as well. Sadly, I think we have seen the last of Kwesi. Likewise Rodari, though I'm not sure if he is L2 standard. Shubbar I have no idea about. Caleb and Fellows are only here on loan and will be gone in the summer. So I would hope that a new striker is a priority in the August transfer window, possibly two. I don't like the reliance on wingers to fill in as strikers, as well as filling in as full backs.

Davide had a good game at the weekend apparently, scored and got an 8 from the NLP. But agreed he needs a consistent run of games there
