We have never really had any good loans from Brighton - Jenks, Spong, Dallison, and other clubs Chuck, Swyer,Bansal, Schofield you count on one hand the decent loans we have had in the recent years - Karlan-Grant, Balcombe,Balagizi, Fellows, Maguire and Ferry

One of our best loan signings was Freddie Woodman. Englands No 1
It's not so much that we are skint so can't offer decent deals to players so they go elsewhere. It's more that the whole transfer window for us was a bit of a clusterfuck.
We tried to sign a player on loan last minute, despite having a month to get the deal done. Then when Grimsby didn't loan him to us, it left no time to sort a replacement. Why didn't we get a striker in earlier in the window? Why did we pin all our hopes on Grimsby signing a new striker of their own, so that they would be prepared to loan the other guy to us? There's no common sense going on with CTFC.
We have signed an unknown midfielder who has been playing in the USA. Will he be the required level to play L2? Time will tell. We also signed a centre back when we already have half a dozen in that position. Instead of cover for our full backs, which we desperately need.
And we have gone most of the transfer window with only one goalie, as the one we signed immediately got sick and was unavailable, and we didn't recall Greensall, even though he wasn't getting games on his loan.
I guess this is what happens when a club doesn't have a CEO, doesn't have a DoF, and has American owners who know jack shit about how football works over here.
COYR.
Unfortunately Scott does not believe in full backs, or having more than one striker either. Sometimes I think we play 3-6-1 with two of the midfield holding slight back or going forward depending on the direction of play. Gordon, Tsaroulla and Wright have already been converted to midfield players with Campbell and Williams often being deployed is this central midfield area too, and Lolos when he plays. I wonder who will be converted to midfield next?
Reading some of the Yanks profile it seems he is a centre back as well as a midfielder, also I was wondering if WAGMI are trying to recreate some club interest in the American Market.

He can play CB? Christ, how many CBs does one club need?
I think that eltel makes a good point regarding Wagmi creating some club interest in USA. But first he has to become a huge success here. I know very little about soccer in the USA. Did Kelly play in the same league as Lionel Messi?

I’m no expert on soccer in the USA but I don’t think so, if you look at the clubs he has played for, I think it was below the MLS , somebody else might correct me but I think it’s the USL?
Hard to compare MLS with the English system what the comparable level would be so then possibly harder to then compare the level below that which he has come from.

MLS is considered comparible with our Championship, and the USL is considered comparible with our League Two, but Top Teams/Players in the USL are considered comparible with League One.
Kelly was Put in a 'Team of the Week 7 Times' whilst at Memphos 901. Memphis finished in the Play-Offs whilst Kelly was there. Kelly was voted 'Player on the Month' for USL in May 2022. All that Coupled with he was 9th on the College MLS Draft Rosta in 2020 means he has alot of Talent and arguably above League Two Standards if he's fully fit. He is Valued at $250k, $350k & $400k on the 3 US Soccer Player Value sites i've looked at.
It seems from the standard of player SL was either given or told he was getting it shows that WAGMI 1 have not got any money and 2 have lost interest it their CTFC project. We never see or hear from them and i don't think they in it for the long haul and i will be surprised if they are still around next season.

At the risk of being told I am repeating myself, I think Wagmi have done a lot for us and as most of the innovative ideas they come up with are derided by the majority of fans yes they have probably withdrawn into their shell whilst biding time until the season end when the two guys at the top will probably be delighted to have an excuse to leave us. Not sure who takes it on from there though.

When they took over we were 13th in League 2, now we are 14th.
Judged on the basis of us retaining league status they have done ok. On the basis of the hot air they put out about promotion etc they haven't got out the traps.
My guess is if a buyer could be found they would be off faster than Usain Bolt at the London Olympics.
