Wagmi has been reasonably okay with some of the off-pitch stuff like ticket prices and hospitality (not that I ever go in the bar), but not so good with advertising revenue. Didn't they manage to get a sponsor for the stadium name in the end? Promoting the idea of a Sideman on the pitch for a final few minutes if a game was already won had some financial merit, even if it did make the club the subject of derision. I think Wagmi had to show they had the financial clout to keep the club going for two seasons, and those will be ended soon. My concern is about whether we can keep going financially once that is completed. There have been warning signs like late filing of accounts, an apparent desperation to sell a couple of our better players last season, and a seeming unwillingness to pay for accommodation on away games. There was even the unsightly spectacle of trying to extract money from Colchester. I accept that the nature of the business means that I did not have full info on any of these points, but indicators are concerning. Although not officially confirmed, being up for sale would be no surprise. The drawback is about whether anyone would wish to pay the asking price.
Hopefully whoever buys the club will have more money than our current owners, more (any) football knowledge than our current owners, and more business acumen than our current owners. Hopefully.

I could probably manage the last two points myself, and I'm no businessman. But I do know a few people who are, so could delegate. However, I wouldn't want to put myself in such a position.

Sure WAGMI have been involved in some really positive reducing prices, the fan zone stuff and so on but its success o the pitch that's the real pull and that's not lived up to their promise. Now Preston knows how subs work maybe he needs to play a more hands on role? See you on the bench at Crewe?
We were due to sign Wilson on loan from Grimsby but it appears to have fallen through or I guess been delayed. When does loan window close?
My understanding is it closed on 1st February too. The only exception is the emergency goalkeeper rule 58 if all "professional keepers" are injured or suspended. Professional means started at least 5 professional games, and as Sandford has not done so, I believe we could use this rule if Correy was ever injured or suspended. Whether we would do so is another matter.
The only other option is sign out of contract players like we did last year (Mutch and Grant)

We didn't bother getting cover for Sandford when he was ill. If Corey gets injured (god forbid) I guess we'd be back down to having one goalie.
We had the transfer window to sign out of contract players, same as everybody else. We didn't.
Presumably there is no more money for any additional wages, hence why so few incomings.
Dwight Gayle is still a Free Agent - He Dumped Stoke City on Feb 1st , Derby County would not meet his 6,000 per week wage demands. Can we knick him for 4,500 a week? do we have any money to do this? If so I reckon he would score a goal per game in this league.

I don't think the budget will stretch to £500 a week let alone 4500!

Interesting £4500 pounds a week gives him a yearly salary of £234000.00 23 home matches a year with average cost pp of £25.00 would mean we would need 407 spectators to pay his wages alone. i will let others decide if this makes good sense financially.
The club X Twitter account just reporting that Sonny Fish has joined Welling Utd on loan till the end of the season.
We're not scoring many goals at the moment. So we send Fish out on loan again 🤦♂️ He looked ok in pre-season. Wonder why SL signed him if he doesn't want to give him a chance?
I assume Scott thought he was one for future? He has only scored 2_goals in 15 appearances at National South level (for Worthing and Tonbridge) so does not appear ready for this level yet. Could be be another one like Alex Battle or Davide Rodari? Looked good against lower non league clubs but could not make the increase in level?

Probably true but if we cant get anybody else in he at least would have given some cover for Orsi
