Reasons to be cheerful 1, 2, 3
1. We are an established football league club.
2. We are not getting relegated.
3. We haven't gone under despite the most challenging recent times the club and football has ever had.
My glass is half full. Gonna enjoy the remainder of my pint knowing despite a frustrating at times game of football, it was enjoyable to cheer on the team I support alongside Alex. All things considered, we ain't doing that bad.
As for relegation I'd be very surprised if it's not Oldham and Scunthorpe who will drop out this term so no need to panic at all, I'd quite like to see Borehamwood and Bromley get promoted just because it will be two more localish away days at new clubs. Looks very likely Gillingham will be another away trip that won't be too far next season as well because of how much they're struggling in L1 at the moment
If by April all our games are pretty much dead rubbers I'd definitely want to see some of the fringe players who I think could still go on and be decent get a few games (like Gallacher, Florian, maybe even Burnett if he's got over his injuries) as if any of them do perform well that would be very handy for next term. Plus I am not too worried really about losing any of our better players as well, Tunnicliffe was one I was concerned about last year but I feel more confident he'll stick around after Yems said once about him relocating to this area from up north, which clearly shows he's happy here.
If another fan's forum is organised before the summer I'd probably ask Yems if he plans to make any changes to the football staff department, as I think we could do with either an additional coach (especially a defensive one) or a Director of Football (who I'd love to be Danny Bulman ngl). Also I'd ask if there's any plans to maybe merge the foundation academy with the club properly in order to create somewhat of an official youth set up in the future, seeing we've had 3 players who started out in that who have now gone on to sign professional contracts with us.
