With both Archie Davies and Lynchy out our back line looks vulnerable,Tunicliffe doesn't look comfortable playing more central and Francillette is much better as a man marker than having to cover the right side in back three setup.
Yems will play Tilley at right back, not sure how he’ll deal with the centre backs though. Somethings not working!
One thing defensively I’ve noticed with these late goals is most of them have come from a shot just outside the box where no one has gone to intercept the attacker. That and sloppy marking from over the top balls or crosses.
I thought that when we brought on Nadesan we defended to deep and looked to play the ball over the top for him to run onto. Up to then the 2 new players allowed us to play with a high line, this allowed our midfield to pick up and stifle the attacks taking pressure away from defence.
Good performance ruined by poor finishing and poor game management.
2-0 goals should’ve been enough to see Stevenage off and contrary to what others have said, we did actually try to get a third goal, but fluffed our lines a couple of times.
In the end we didn’t take our chances and manage the game out effectively and dropped 2 points against a team we looked better than which is very disappointing and frustrating. You can’t always finish your chances, but you can manage games better and in the second half as Crawley 57 has pointed out, our second half stats are poor and show that we need to improve in our second half performances. A fair point made by Crawley 57 and something for Mr Yems and co to try and overcome.

That is the frustrating thing about it Alex, he does himself such a disservice.
Yes he does actually make valid points on occasions - and the odd daft ones too - but it is invariably surrounded by a lot of noise, ego & distraction, that it gets lost in the mist.
Also, he selectively goes missing when it suits him, which undermines respect for his opinions... and they are JUST opinions, same as everyone else. I am still waiting for him to admit that he made up the figure of 80% - He & I both know he did - does it matter, not in the slightest... ...that is, unless you have presented a case on the basis of percentages and claim to be one of two users who post the TRUTH...!
It was only 1.30pm on Saturday that I realised I could get to the Stevenage match but the online ticket page only showed the Harrogate match, due to the club warning re staff shortages I decided not to go,assuming the online page is automatic why would it close so early?
