There was a vote on who we should sign, a goalkeeper, defender, midfielder or attacker. I am not expecting any new signings to be announced until the result is published. Our manager will know who he wants.
Indeed, and no vote is going to make any difference.

KB will always have the final say. But the fan votes are a good way of keeping fans and NFT buyers engaged and involved with the club. Don't see a problem with it tbh.

Sure. No problems at all. I just don't think anyone should kid themselves that it has any real impact. KB will do the lip service bit but no credible manager will be influenced by it.

Agreed. I think the ST holders will take part for the fun of it. The cyberspace fans/NFT holders can think they have an influence from afar. They'll not know they don't really.

I believe the vote was for another 'star' signing, i.e. in the Telford mould. I would think we'll still sign other players in the meantime, and Hunt would be a very good addition.
If the vote on here is anything to go by, I'd say it'll likely end up being a midfielder, and I doubt Betsy would be too miffed if the owners went and bought him a belter in midfield, and he'll certainly have a say in who it is.

But it won't be up to the manager. I do think the owners genuinely believe in their project of decentralising decision-making and it's not just window-dressing. They have to walk the walk because this is the model they are selling to future NFT owners - any sign it's just a sham and that could harm the club's future financing. It's really not going to bend Betsy's nose out of shape to give the fans one signing

Well I suppose if John Yems could be persuaded to sign Mark Wright anything is possible.

Of course, Betsy won't care either way as he will only pick the players he wanted and signed.

To be honest it was the brother who bothered me more, poor old rubbish Mark at least gave us the epic trolling of Leeds

He signs all the players, he’s just being told by the fans to do one in a certain area of the pitch - and given the owners will obviously fund it well as it will be a high profile signing, I’m sure Betsy will pick a good one

Make up your mind. You literally just posted 'but it won't be up to the manager'

This is not difficult really to understand - the overall policy won't be up to the manager, he will have to sign a player in a certain part of the pitch that the poll outcome stipulates. But that signing will be totally up to him who he picks in that very broad area. Get it?

considering most of them want a striker for some reason this will definitely be the case
