Agree on Nadders there, I know a lot of of people seem happy to see him go, but as you say, that pace gives us a real different option.
I know it's not the best comparison, but Usain Bolt would give us pace up front, the point is pace isn't everything. Nadders goal record is average at best.
Nadders is a top quality player and the club will be a lot worse off if he left. Pace and fantastic movement off the ball. His individual goal scoring rate doesnt bother me. Im more interested in the teams scoring rate.

The thing with Nadesan also is that even just by watching the pre season games and the warm ups etc, his technical ability seems to have improved already since the new management team have come in, and hearing Betsy saying he likes him must have helped with his confidence. I know I was critical of him at times last season but with the change in style as well as the better footballing set up I feel this could be a very good season for him, and reckon him and Telford up front would be a better partnership than having Appiah alongside Telford

I have noticed a few of our players from last season have improved a lot technically on the ball this pre-season which is a great sign.

This suggests a management/coaching improvement since JY.
George, I wasn't trying to disagree in a disagreeable way. Sorry if it came across like that but our players are not going hell for leather or lunging into 30-70% tackles in preseason why would other teams?
I really do hope their techniques have improved and I'm just being a curmudgeon.

I tend to agree virtually all (maybe trialists are an exception) may pull-back somewhat pre-season, but when you are playing the game the game takes over and in those situations I think we reach closer to 100& effort. Remember also, every player is playing for their place under KB.

I mean look at Adebowale for example, barely got a game beforehand but I think he's done really well so far from what I've seen of him this month
Portsmouth keeper and rumoured CTFC target Alex Bass has decided, inexplicably, to join little Sunderland in preference to Crawley or Exeter
He's a decent shot stopper and he's young so he has plenty of time to get better. If you're looking for a solid No 1 for this coming season he wasn't the answer but if you're looking for a 2nd choice with the potential to step up in a year or two then he would have been a good fit.
