Crawley Town play at home against Northampton Town in a league 2 match in the 2022/23 season, Tuesday 16th August 19:45 kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on you Reds.
Lovely team goal by us. The equaliser was damn unlucky as a defensive clearance by Nichols I think from a corner fell straight to Hoskins who found the corner like a natural goalscorer. Their second looked far more of an error between the keeper and the wall in defending a free kick (an iffy 50-50 which the ref gave against us). Overall there is little between the teams
Not as bad as the Orient game. We were getting moments of promise by attacking but we've gradually and slowly started playing keep ball between the defenders...and I do mean slowly
Line up is odd. Nadersan is playing as an out and out right winger for a lot of the game. Ok but it Leaves Nichols isolated.
Started the game well and scored after a nice passing move, but a poor goal conceded from a throw in (how many goals have we conceded from throw ins over the last few seasons) and then a keeper error from the free kick them they’re ahead. All in all it’s been awful. We don’t compete in midfield and we have no plan B. Kev still doesn’t know his best team yet and we have no plan b. I can’t see this guy lasting the whole season. Last season was better than this we seem to be going backwards not forwards- literally and figuratively!

Can we get two goals to win it?

Apart from the goal we’ve scored I’d say this worse than Orient. We simply don’t do the basics of the game and compete in midfield. Can Dannie Bulman come out of retirement? He knew how to tackle and hassle the opposition. If we don’t have a player like this it will be a long season.

We’ve scored two superb goals. Come on give em a break
Well regardless of that screw up I thought we were decent tonight and deserved more. It was our most positive performance of the season. I think the Cobblers were also the best team we’ve played this season
