In his post match interview I thought he seemed more chastened than before a bit less FA speak and bit more about pressing them in their half in the first half he was shouting and pointing to where the ball should be played second half less tippy tippy more playing quicker more aggressive unlucky to lose the game by a mistake by one of our most impressive players.
Well the fans at the ground weren’t putting him under pressure at the end. The owners won’t. So good luck with trying to generate some online I guess
The fans around me were saying it wasn't good enough and Betsy ball is bollocks.
Would you prefer them to shout it out...like they were criticised for doing v Orient?
I am not trying to generate anythingby the way. I come along to watch football and be entertained. I learned long ago that my take on who the manager is/isn't doesn't mean diddly squat but our worst start to a season in the football league EVER. must have him under pressure or Wagmi's stated aim of progression is also rubbish.

You are obviously clearly underestimating the breathing space that the cup win and the huge buzz about next week has given Betsy. All the fans I spoke to afterwards were obviously disappointed but seeing a clear improvement trend. Oh, and Wagmi's stated timeframes were two years, not two weeks
Was a very frustrating game last night. We were poor in the first half and played really well in the second half, got ourselves level and were pushing for a winner, but somehow conspired to lose the game in added time. All 3 goals were as a result of some poor mistakes and Nadders missed two one on one's so we should've got a point bear minimum from that game. 1 point out of 12 after all that hype in the summer is a big let down. We have a manager who doesn't know his best team or formation yet and our star striker who was top goalscorer in the league last season hasn't scored a goal and isn't playing. We have a manager, a host of new players and an ownership group who are all learning on the job and so far things aren't going well on the pitch so I'd happily take a top half finish at this rate, promotion is a long way off.
I think we all got a bit carried away with the dominating the league stuff, Simon's point was well made about the strength of other teams in this division who are just ahead of us at the moment in their projects gelling their players. We have only made one marquee signing and it isn't Betsy's fault he isn't playing. But that does mean the owners have funds for the next window. We are at the beginning of our journey and our time will come
Difficult one Jim. I don't disagree with what you say, when the support turns against you it can get ugly both financially and otherwise.
On the other hand calling for Betsy out after 4 games is unrealistic (I can remember Fergie being one game away in 1990 too...).
KB is trying to totally overhaul the playing side. He was dealt a tough hand as our owners managed to give most of last season's squad new deals, and must have known when KB was appointed that they had tied his hands a bit.
We were never going to walk the league this year, there are too many good teams around for that. Plus changing managers every 5 mins never achieves much apart from a big pay off.
I would give him 10 games and then see. Personally I have my doubts about trying to play Barcelona football with L2 players, but KB knows more about football than I do. There are some talented but inexperienced players at the club, let's see if he can mould them into a team.
Tied his hands? KB has so far signed 17 players! Including the leagues top scorer who was linked with championship clubs. Why Crawley? Because the owners backed the manager by paying him massive wages. Yes Telford scored goals last season was it a wise call from KB to gamble a big percentage of the budget on him? Owners have backed the manager taking Crawley from lowest budget to top 5, and that’s not because we gave some contracts out to existing players. If he was dealt a tough hand he didn’t need to give Nadesan who was comfortably our top earner a new contract did he?
I don't see a lot of evidence that we are spending top 5. Telford yes would have been costly but who else? We've either signed out of contract players or youngsters. I don't reckon Nadesan spent so long pondering whether to sign because we were offering him more money.
I have no problem with this by the way, it is better to build/develop a team rather than sign a ready-made one like we did under Hayward/Evans, exciting tho that was. We will get a lot out of seeing these players improve over the months ahead
Started the first half with a great move resulting in a great goal then we went into our shell and gave them 2 goals. In the second half we came out of our shell and played well and equalized. For the last 10 mins we seem to be happy to play out for a draw and we started to play tippy tappy around the back but slowly, if we are going to play this way then we need to move it faster. They played tippy tappy but moved the ball faster which shows it can be done in this league. As for people keep saying the team needs time to jell well he has had them since the beginning of July plus preseason and they are training full time just how much longer do they need. If we keep playing and getting the results we are I fear for our league position and the manager must now be under some pressure. What could save manager from some of the pressure is the lack of understanding of football by the owners.

In all fairness, the Referee was absolutely woeful at very best - worse than that Clown, Kettle.
Two of their goals resulted from poor refereeing.................... But, we must stay mentally alert until the final whistle.

Talking usual drivel Steve. It’s no secret Crawley have big budget, widely reported, and the owners have often stated that we have top 7 budget. I think they are underplaying it to not put too much pressure on, so could well be top 3 budget. Whether it’s been well spent is another story. Before his one good season Telford was on £2.4K a week at Newport. After scoring all those goals last year Telford could of gone top l1/championship so could be on 10k a week easily now who knows.

For a start I am not and will not call for anyone to be sacked.
I am just stating the obvious. Worst start ever in the EFL for us puts him under pressure. If it doesn't it should.
I will say we played well in spells last night but any team conceeding 3 goals at home cannot be said to have had a good game unless they win by a clear margin.
I queried the tactics last night. Not only Nadersan on the wing but the two central midfielders dropping to the edge of the area when we were playing out. It leaves a big hole in midfield if things go wrong. I queried the subs but there could be reasons behind that I don't know and I queried why Betsy wasn't screaming at the players to hurry up

B team should be for player development, first team players should be good enough now. We don’t have months to wait for players to improve. If we carry on with this style results could get worse when the pitches start to cut up in the winter months. Need points on the board early doors.

Anyone who thinks last night was anything other than exceptionally unlucky needs to give their head a wobble.
A very promising performance and a very unfair result. The players are clearly improving, getting used to the manager's demands and it surely won't be long before we start stringing some wins together. They won because they have Sam Hoskins and we don't.
Would be handy if we didn't have about 17 players out injured too.
I'm not really sure what we're now classing as 'tippy tappy' football, yes Carlisle first game was an absolute shambles but we have seen steady improvement since then and that's all we can ask for if we're being realistic. If last night was tippy tappy football then fine; we tip tapped it into the net twice with 2 great goals, give me that every day of the week vs the route 1 dross we have seen in the past. It would have been great to start the season unbeaten and sit in the autos after 4 games but that was very unlikely to happen, some people cant seem to accept that we're in a transition period and people coming out saying the manager is now under pressure is laughable. I'm sure he puts himself under pressure but that's the only place pressure will be coming from. If we're in the same position at Christmas then I'm sure his tenure will be looked at.

Oh thank god, a life saver. I was about to head to homebase to buy some rope after reading this forum
