I had a winning mentality. I could make lots of excuses (not having a keeper definitely didn't help) but the bottom line is the team (players and manager) wasn't good enough.
At the moment we have to face the fact that Crawley are not good enough.

So what departments do you think we are not good enough in?
Players? Manager? Coaching? Mentality? Owners? Recruitment? All of the above?
Ok let’s get your “expert” view on some of the basics. The Doncaster penalty decision, definite or rough decision?
You have not answered my question, have you?
JTG
Because this is a match thread meant to discuss things that goes on in Crawley's matches - not a weird messagboard version of Eamonn Andrews' This is Your Life! How about you answer the question? Was the Doncaster penalty justified or not? Or are you starting to agree with all bad refereeing decisions against Crawley Town because you don't like the manager?
I have no doubt in my mind that had Saturday's managers swapped dugouts then Crawley would have won that match. It's all about belief and one of those managers is very good at installing that trait into players

Big Steve is an excellent manager and a lot of other managers in League 2 would suffer in comparison to him. That said the post match consensus in Redz was that we had given him a very tough second half, there is a danger that this is being written out of history here a bit
Ceefax ended 10 years ago about the time we joined the FL. Probably part of your conspiracy theory.
Everyone who watched the game live would have had us the most likely winners of the match in the second half, given how much we were on top. But again that means you have to be at the Broadfield to understand this, not be the latest iteration of Crawley57's stats reading service, it's the basics
The only obvious difference I can see is Steve Evans took over Stevenage, made a load of signings and they have gone from 21st last season to 3rd this season.
Kevin Betsy took over Crawley, made a load of signings and we have gone from 12th last season to 22nd this season.
Sadly unless there is a new rule that the league table is to be turned upside down only one of the above has a chance of going up this season...

Well not really, its quite possible to watch on iPlayer or even listen to the views of many supporters who don't have your name and your obsession for answering everyone's posts on everything.

yes we gave Steveage a run for their money after a somewhat fortunate equalisee..but games are played over 90 minutes.in that time Stevenage to summarise were tge better team...preoared and in application.

This. We got beaten by the better side - which has been the story of our L2 season.

You’re starting to sound like Betsy, now🙄

That's fine by me. He speaks very well and analyses games excellently. He must get better results but I do believe he knows what it isn't quite working at the moment and won't panic like some. Players returning from injuries, more experience of these player combinations playing together, the luck evening out over the season - we'll be ok

We were the better team in the second half, that's when games are usually won and lost - not always like Saturday but pretty often

Luck 😂
So you don't believe teams get lucky within games? Football is renowned as a game where that does actually happen? What did you think of the Chelsea-Palace game on Saturday?
