Tom Allman posted on Facebook that this was untrue. The real reasons were that alcohol cannot be served before noon and it wouldn't be cost effective to open.
Curiously the Facebook Post and his reply have now been removed.....
Hi Simon,
Very happy to explain what has happened.
We recieve questions via the form. This goes directly onto a Google Spreadsheet which Preston has access to. When he gets a chance, he goes onto the spreadsheet and adds a comment. As the person running social media, I then take his comment and slightly change the wording to make it more suitable for socials. I then published on our Twitter, Facebook and on here. I then saw the reply from Tom and took the facebook down straight away and was about to take the Twitter and this one done when Preston said "You could leave it IMO there's nothing incorrect there". I thought, as Facebook doesn't get as much interaction as Twitter and here, that I wouldn't bother about posting it on Facebook again as it may look like that we are just trying to hide Tom's answer.
So which one is the true answer then? Preston's or Tom's?

Preston's response was "there's nothing incorrect there (with the post that went up". I should think both play a part in it.

Following the Bristol Rovers and Fulham game, it was questioned as to why the club didn't do the ticket offer for cup games as they have done in the previous seasons. Here is a bit of a short explanation:
Why weren't the League Cup tickets reduced like previous years?
This was decided by the staff members at the club. As overall the ticket prices were reduced by around 30%, there wasn't any need to reduce the cup ticket. As shown at the Fulham game, people were willing to pay that.
We do have a form you can fill out to ask any questions which can be accessed here: CTFC Fan Council Questions
You can also ask questions on this forum or come and speak to one of the members at a match. We would prefer that you fill out the form but no worries if not
Does anyone know if the club has changed the policy of allowing West stand season ticket holders who use gate 6 to be able to use any of the other gates to the right (7-9)? Last night I was unable to enter as was told that I had to use gate 6 despite the other 3 gates being queue less and gate 6 being busy. This was a major improvement last year when it was announced as often gate 6 is choc a block and others much Quiter. I think the turnstile operator may have been new or uninformed but didn't want to make a huge fuss as after asking twice I could see that I would be holding up others who were waiting to get in. I do hope the policy is still in place and if so could somebody update the operators so that any confusion is avoided.
What are the plans for the club if we are relegated? Will they sell up or will they simply carry on or nake us even more of a laughing stock?
Any chance of getting a response or are the council vetting questions to the board for fear of upsetting them?
Hi there, I've explained the process above how the questions get given to the owners to answer. If you are particularly worried that we are vetting them from here, put it on the form yourself (link above somewhere).

How about you provide the link to help a fellow fan rather than simply say 'it's above somewhere as frankly that's no help with 11 pages to go through
Im more convinced than ever the council is just a way for those on it to kiss some Ass

I mean I am very happy to not even reply if you are going to be like that?
The reason I said "it's above" is because I only answered it a few day previously. My apologies. Here is the reply I gave

I think people are bigging up what the Fan Council is. It is literally a chance for us to ask Preston questions from the fans (yes we are asking him questions about the Sideman thing). It is also the chance for Preston, when he wants to, to ask us questions as well. If people don't think I'm personally doing a good job on it, say and I'll step down

Some might say... It's a glorified drinking club for Preston and his Side men
At the Fan's Council, we want to be as transparent as possible. So, as we have had a number of questions in regards to Dannie Bulman's testimonial, we thought we would let you know as to what is happening. We hear you. Hopefully, there will be a proper update soon. 🤞
Any update RE Dannie Bulman's Testimonial?
We are currently chasing the club's staff for a comment RE Dannie Bulman's testimonial match and beneficiary year.

Tbh you said you would take questions on the forum (happy to provide the link if required)
Now it must be on a form so no I don't think your doing a good job but your new to this council thing, we all are, so not going to ask you to step down that's a decision you have to make yourself

Yes I am very happy to take questions on the forum. However, you were worried that we were vetting them before sending them off to Preston. If you were still worried that we were vetting them, then you can put them on the form yourself
If there are ways in which you think I can improve, do let me know
