Now we have replaced Addai I think that our priority has got to be 2 strikers. In order of priority, I think we need the following:
1) Starting striker to replace Orsi 2) Third striker to replace Campbell 3) Starting creative midfielder to replace Liam Kelly 4) Defensive midfielder to cover for Williams 5) Left wing back to replace Tsaroulla. Brentford fans actually suggested on their forum that Charlie Farr,who has just left them, would be a perfect replacement for Nick; and 6) Another defender as cover
This would give us a squad of 26 with Sheik out on loan, the figure Preston was aiming for.
We now have a squad of 22; 3 keepers, 6 defenders, 5 midfielders, 5 wide players and 3 forwards (some can play in different positions) as below:
1) 3 Keepers:Wollacott, Sandford and Sheik 2) 6 Defenders: Mullarkey, Conroy, Flint, Malone, Barker, Mukena 3) 5 Midfielders:Williams, Holohan, Papadopoulos,Roles and Khaleel 4) 5 Widemen: Darcy, Adeyemo, Kelly, Forster and Gonzalez 5) 3 Forwards: Fish, Faal and Hepburn-Murphy
Realistically, I can't see us signing more than 2 players before the season starts, and a couple more before the transfer window closes, as we don't seem to want to pay a fee for most players. Only Wollacott, Mullarkey and Malone would have cost a reasonable fee. I would guess main targets are striker and central midfielder unless Malone intended to play on left side of midfield.

Apart from the three I mentioned, the only other player we paid a few for was Barker. All the others brought in this season were free.
That's the whole point Jim Preston said the additional League 1 funding of 800k plus transfer income would be added to the budget we had last year of 1.75m to fund the squad this season circa 3m playing budget for wages. The squad so far won't have cost more than 1.2 to 1.5m . We have only signed four players with any EFL experience. The none league signings will be on 40 or 50k.

We're Crawley Town. Having a squad worth £3.5M would have been a joke until a few years ago. Definitely a tiny fish in a very big pond.
But OMG we desperately need to sign a decent striker, probably two. The squad looks adequate, but our firepower is severely lacking.
